Tom Davis created Whitewater Photos in 1980 and for the past twenty-five years
his company has been a family operation. Many of his oldest customers remember
the days when Tom worked out of his signature brown van in Maupin
City Park, and generations
of rafters knew to smile at Boxcar Rapids where Tom spent his summers taking
hero shots. Over twenty years ago Tom began offering photos of Oak Springs
rapids to his customers, and more recently a photographer was stationed at Wapinitia.
Now customers can follow their journey downriver through photos at all three
rapids.
These days, you'll find Tom, his wife Tina, and their children and grandchildren
working and playing at the shop during the summer. We've added ice cream,
espresso, and a snack bar to keep our customers happy while they wait for their
photos. With the onset of digital photography we began to provide the convenience
of
ordering online -- but our return
customers still stop by to say hello and have an ice cream cone. Come celebrate
our 25th Anniversary with us this year. Join the crowds on our deck as we continue
our tradition of being Maupin's first and foremost whitewater photographers.
